August was a fun-filled month here at PrecisionLender. We spent time giving back, watching baseball, and witnessing history as the solar eclipse danced across the sky. Here’s a look back at the warm, sunny, and eventful month.
Partnering with Urban Ministries
On Aug. 11, both the Cary and Charlotte offices spent the afternoon making lunches for Urban Ministries of Durham and the Urban Ministry Center in Charlotte.
In Cary, we had a large group of PrecisionLender employees and their families manning different stations where they were responsible for bagging Oreos, putting together trail mix, and making sandwiches.
In Charlotte, we bagged 100 sandwiches and donated leftover meat and cheese to the Urban Ministry Center.
The Cary office also collected and made hygiene kits to donate. A very special thank you to McNutt Orthodontics for donating toothbrushes!
We love this event every year, because it gives us the opportunity to work together as a team outside of our daily work responsibilities while giving back to our wonderful communities.
Company party at the Durham Bulls
On Aug. 12, the day after our lunch-making event, we spent the evening at the Durham Bulls game. This was the perfect opportunity to introduce family to coworkers, and we had a great time doing so! The weather was perfect, the food was good, and the fireworks were something to write home about.
The icing on top? The Bulls notched another win!
Watching the solar eclipse!
History was made on Aug. 21, when the moon completely covered the sun in a solar eclipse. We weren’t in the path of totality, but we were pretty darn close! Some of the members of our Charlotte office had a blast watching (with special glasses, of course).

And with that, we say goodbye to summer, as the kids head back to school and the days get a little cooler!
