Purposeful Banker Award Winners 2019

May 16, 2019 Maria Abbe

For three years running, we’ve held the Purposeful Banker Awards at our BankOnPurpose Conference, in an effort to highlight the amazing work that’s being done within the industry. These banks and bankers are transforming how banking is done, and it’s having a direct impact on their customers and the communities they serve.

This year, we received some incredible nominations for Banker of the Year and Bank of the Year. We were humbled to hear so many stories of bankers making a difference in their communities every day — we had really tough decisions to make!

Meet our 2018 and 2017 Purposeful Banker Award Winners!

Banker of the Year

Our Banker of the Year winner is Kammie Cathcart from TBK Bank

Kammie joined TBK Bank during her senior year of high school as a secretary to the board and officers at the bank. In a time of need, she stepped in to become a loan officer.

During her time as a loan officer, she earned her Certified Trust & Financial Advisor Certificate and ran the Trust Department for the bank until April 2017. She now spends her time as the Senior Relationship Manager in the loan department for TBK Bank in Holly, Colo. and Tribune, Kan. and also oversees the loan functions in the Granada, Colo. branch. Her colleagues say Kammie has a unique gift for finding a way to tailor loan products to match them to her clients’ hopes and dreams.

Outside of work she sits on the boards of the Holly Pride Committee, Holly Senior & Community Center, Holly Alumni Association, Holly Wildcat Sports Boosters and AIMXL Taskforce, and is involved with First Baptist Church.

Kammie truly personifies what it means to be a purposeful banker.

Bank of the Year

Our Bank of the Year winner is IBERIABANK

This team’s leadership and commitment to digital transformation, their clients, coworkers and community led to building a stronger brand and bank with purpose.

IBERIABANK saw a need within their organization to create a streamlined lending process, and they dove headfirst into their digital transformation.

The Profitability team worked diligently to source the tools that would most improve their methodologies and mesh with their culture, all while keeping the focus on serving their clients.

They worked with cross-functional areas within their bank to successfully implement these tools and execute a deliberate and high touch roll-out. They also ensured their users had a smooth and successful transition.

The IBERIABANK team truly personifies determination and grit.
