According to a recent CEB study, the average tenure of Relationship Managers dropped from 5 years to 3 in just a four-year span (2010-14). Clearly, hiring and retaining talent is a major challenge faced by banks today.
That's why we welcomed a panel of bank professionals to the stage at BankOnPurpose to talk about what it means to build and manage a team of star performers. Kevin McNamara of Vertical IQ, Dave Paulson of United Bank, Stan Sluder of Los Alamos National Bank, and Ed White of Pinnacle Bank chatted about best practices for hiring, developing, and training talent. We wrapped up the conference with fintech thought leader, JP Nicols, who shared why it’s absolutely critical for a bank to innovate, and explained how to do so… with purpose. “Innovation is an act of leadership, it doesn’t just happen,” he said, and then provided ways banks can make the leap to better serving their customers with technology.
