Each summer, everyone at PrecisionLender bands together to take part in our PrecisionLendAHand give-back event where we volunteer for Urban Ministries and finish the day with a Durham Bulls ball game.
Lending a Hand to Urban Ministries
The Urban Ministries of Durham and the Urban Ministry Center in Charlotte are bringing the community together by providing men, women and children who are homeless with food, shelter and a shoulder to lean on.
In Cary, we assembled 300 hygiene kits filled with toothbrushes, shampoo and more. We also made 500 sandwiches and packed them into sandwich bags with snack packs.
In Charlotte, we prepared 100 PB&J sandwiches and packed them into beautifully decorated bags along with snacks and cookies.
Swing Batter, Batter!
After our day of giving back we headed to the ballpark to watch the Durham Bulls take on the Syracuse Chiefs with our coworkers, families and friends. It was a close game with the Bulls losing by two runs, but it was a fun game to watch!
The night wrapped up with an amazing firework show. We’re already looking forward to next year!
